The Galician bagpiper of Yo Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble: Cristina Pato releases her new CD Migrations with SUNNYSIDE Records in 2013. Roots and Jazz: With Victor Prieto, Edward Perez, Eric Doob, Emilio Solla and GUESTS Edmar Castaneda, Mike Block, John Hadfield, Sandeep Das, Colin Jacobsen, Suso Vaamonde, Roberto Comesaña.
Cristina will be also collaborating in diferent initiatives led by the Aspen Institute and Damian Woetzel in CO, the Turnaround Arts Initiative of the Presidential Committee of the Arts and Humanities and the NPR Tiny Desk program.

Bagpipes and afro latin jazz? oh yeah!!
Also in May Cristina is recording a new chamber piece by Argentinian composer Ezequiel Viñao. The piece includes Cristina on the piano, Pablo Aslan double bass, Kinan Azhme clarinet, JP Jofre bandoneón, Shane Shanahan percussion and singer Sofia Rei.
On June 5th there will be another chance to see Cristina Pato and her Migrations Band live in New York City, at Joes Pub.
The next two months are full of projects with Aspen institute, Harvard University, Silk Road Project and NPR.
